TIPPY I GRADE is a live dub mixing engineer and prolific producer from St. Croix, VI. By bringing studio elements to the stage, Tippy I Grade performs live dub mixing from his and his Zion I Kings production team's vast catalog of original works. Since launching I Grade Records in 2001, he has produced, recorded and mixed over 40 albums and countless singles with artists including Midnite / Akae Beka, Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, Protoje, Micah Shemaiah, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Kumar, Pressure Busspipe, Lutan Fyah, Dezarie, Niyorah, Perfect Giddimani, and many others. Tippy and the Zion I Kings are twice Grammy nominated for producing works with Snoop Lion (2015) and Protoje (2022).

Tippy I Grade began live dub mixing in 2012, by fusing the classic Jamaican tradition of dub mixing with modern technology and techniques, crafting the "I Grade Dub experience": a unique presentation of the musical power of dub with the lyrical power of Rastafari reggae music. Soon thereafter, he launched the Dub in the Fishmarket and Dub in the Rainforest events on St. Croix, immortalized to millions of viewers on YouTube.

Tippy I Grade has shared the I Grade Dub experience on stages throughout the world including at Rototom Festival (SP), Reggae Geel Dub Forest (BE), Ostrada Reggae Festival (PL) and HIM Dub Festival (PT), and most recently at the world famous Kingston Dub Club (JA) where he and Protoje launched their new Zion I Kings-produced album, "In Search of Zion". Tippy I Grade brings the highest grade of modern roots reggae into the captivating and unpredictable realm of live dub music.

More dynamic than a sound system session, more immersive than a stage show - live dub mixing is a unique art form that allows the mixing engineer to craft extemporaneous soundscapes with multi-tracked music arrangements, using echoes, reverbs and other effects as brushes on the musical canvas.
